Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)

A major credit-linked subsidy that offers margin money subsidies ranging from 15% to 35% of the project cost. The maximum project cost is ₹50 Lakh for manufacturing and ₹20 Lakh for service sectors. For special categories (women, SC/ST, minorities, NER), the subsidy is 35% in rural areas and 25% in urban areas. Apply or check guidelines via the PMEGP e-Portal.

Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro & Small Enterprises (CGTMSE)

Encourages formal lending by providing collateral-free credit guarantees for loans up to ₹5 crores. It significantly lowers the risk for banks, making it easier for new or small enterprises to secure working capital. More details are available on the CGTMSE Platform.

Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS)

Facilitates technology upgradation by providing a 15% upfront capital subsidy (on institutional credit up to ₹1 crore) to MSEs in specific approved sub-sectors/products.

Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY)

Provides tiered, collateral-free loans for non-farm micro-enterprises. It is split into three categories based on the stage of the business: Shishu (up to ₹50,000), Kishor (₹50,000 to ₹5 lakh), and Tarun (₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh).

MSME Champions Scheme (RAMP)

Provides modern support for technology, digitalization, and lean manufacturing. Enterprises can access guidance and financial assistance through the MSME Champions Portal.

MH-Package Scheme of Incentives (PSI)

Provides eligible Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises subsidies on fixed capital investments, including 100% reimbursement of Gross SGST, 100% stamp duty exemption, and power tariff subsidies (e.g., ₹1/unit for 3 years). The maximum incentive limit reaches up to 80%-100% of Fixed Capital Investment for units in backward areas like Vidarbha and Marathwada.
